Pizza! Pizza! Mini Unit

Happy Wednesday friends! I stopped at school yesterday to drop off a fridge I scored at my in-laws (thank you!) that has a bigger freezer for multiple Lean Cuisines and a box of popsicles! :) Annnnyways....I about had a PANIC ATTACK! Just looking at all my stuff stacked up to the ceiling and knowing that in just a few short weeks I had to organize it made me stop breathing!!! I wanted to stay up there ALL NIGHT but my hubs dragged me out with the {gentle} reminder that there are still 5 weeks of summer and that I have plenty of time! WHEW! Today I have slipped back into summer mode...coffee, pj's, talk shows til 11:00 am! HA!

Blend and Digraph Cards

What a fun 4th of July! I hope you enjoyed time (and lots of good food!) with family and friends! :)

Every summer, the 4th of July is a gentle reminder that school is just around the corner! I can't wait to incorporate everything I have seen on all of the awesome blogs out there! :)

Alphabet Display Cards

Happy 4th of July!

Tpt is back up and running, so I just posted the Alphabet Display wall cards!

These cards go along with the Alphabet Chart I posted a few days ago!

These cards are perfect for a wall display, or to use as flashcards during Guided Reading groups. I like to have a few sets...one for my wall, one to keep near my whole group rug, and one to keep at my table for reading groups. I laminate and hole punch the set of cards at the top left corner and put a ring on it. Throughout the year, I will scramble up the order. I will quickly flash the cards and the kiddos have to find the letter on their own chart, tell me a word that starts with that letter, or tell me the letters that come before and after.

*Some of the images are blurry in the PDF format...they look fine in Word! :( I am SO SORRY! You can take a black Sharpie and outline the edges! If anyone can tell me how to fix this, I will do it ASAP!

Have a happy, happy 4th! I am off to change into my bathing suit and head down to the boat! Oh, but first, I need to prepare my Patriotic Pound Cake! :)

My next few posts will go into detail about my Morning Work, The Daily Five and Math Menu. I will probably say this at least 100 times...but I. LOVE. DAILY. FIVE! I love it so much that we adapted it to our math block and call it Math Menu (there are other Math Menus out there, but we picked the name 'menu' because the kiddos get to choose their choice) ! It changed the way I approach centers and I love how independent my firsties were!
