Hop, Frog, Hop! Short Vowel /o/ Word Work

Happy Sunday, friends! Hope you had a fabulous weekend!
I found these at Super Target today:
WHAAATTT???? OMG! I am pretty much obsessed with seasonal foods! How fun are these?!?

Here's what Bollman's Bunch will be up to this week:

Math: Five and Ten Relationships
Check out Sarah's super fun Fun-tastic Ten Frames unit. LOVE!

We will also be playing Tens Go Fish, an Investigations game.

Phonics: Short Vowel /o/
We will be doing the frog hop this week! :) Check out my newest Word Work unit below!

Comment below WITH YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS to enter the giveaway for my newest Word Work unit! I will email it to five people on Friday, September 21.

Daily Five: Launching Read to Someone
When I saw the Sisters in Atlanta in August, they mentioned that they now launch Read to Someone last because it requires the most modeling and building of stamina. We decided to do Word Work before Read to Someone, and then add in Listen to Reading last. We are up to 17 minutes of stamina in Read to Self and 10 minutes of stamina in Work on Writing! AAAHHH! I just finished my first round of Fountas and Pinnell assessments and can't wait to meet with some reading groups this week to play some games!

Writing Workshop: Word Webs
We will creating Word Webs about fall, apples, and our school!
Click on the picture to download a Word Web from Google Docs.

Social Studies: Apples
Can't wait to make crockpot applesauce this week...YUM!!! We are also graphing our favorite color apple.  My favorite book this week is:

ALMOST done with newest The Old Lady unit! :) Only a few more days!!

Have a great week!!!
